Android will warn you.
That is normal.

LumosWS is a direct APK, not a Play Store app, so Android may show extra warnings before install. Those warnings are standard for apps installed from a browser. Download only from getlumos.app, then follow the steps below.

Step 1

Download and install the APK

Android may show strong warnings because LumosWS is installed from the browser, not Play Store. That is standard side-load behavior. Continue only if the file came from getlumos.app.

  1. Wait until the LumosWS APK finishes downloading.
  2. Open the downloaded file from the browser notification or from the Downloads folder.
  3. If Android blocks the install, tap Settings and turn on Allow from this source for your browser.
  4. Go back to the installer, tap Install, then tap Open.
Path

Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → your browser.

Step 2

Allow restricted settings

This is the Android step that blocks most first installs. Do it before you try to enable Accessibility again.

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, then LumosWS.
  2. Tap the 3-dot menu in the top right corner of the LumosWS app info screen.
  3. Tap Allow restricted settings.
  4. Return to the LumosWS app or go back to Android Accessibility settings.
Tip

If the 3-dot menu is missing, wait 30-60 seconds, close Settings, and open LumosWS App info again. Pixel and newer Android phones can show this option late after scanning the new APK.

Step 3

Turn on Accessibility access

Accessibility lets LumosWS read visible offer cards, scroll the queue, and tap when your rules match.

  1. Open Settings, then Accessibility.
  2. Open Installed apps or Downloaded apps.
  3. Select LumosWS.
  4. Turn the switch on and tap Allow.
If blocked

If the switch is greyed out, go back to Step 2 and allow restricted settings first.

Step 4

Turn on Notification access

Notification access lets LumosWS hear Spark offer alerts before it checks the visible screen.

  1. Open Settings, then Notifications.
  2. Open Device and app notifications or Notification access.
  3. Select LumosWS.
  4. Turn access on and confirm the Android warning.
If blocked

If Android blocks the switch here too, repeat Step 2 for LumosWS.

Step 5

Set rules and test before a shift

Do one calm test before you rely on LumosWS during real offer flow.

  1. Open LumosWS and confirm both permissions are enabled.
  2. Set payout, max distance, dollars per mile, store rules, order rules, and exclusions.
  3. Open Spark on the same Android phone.
  4. Use the 24-hour trial during a real shift before paying for longer access.
Important

LumosWS never asks for your Spark username or password. Your Spark account stays inside the Spark app.

If something does not work

Open Settings, Apps, LumosWS, tap the 3-dot menu, choose Allow restricted settings, then return to Accessibility and turn LumosWS on.

Wait 30-60 seconds, close Settings, and open LumosWS App info again. Some Android builds show the menu late after scanning a new APK.

This is Android’s standard warning for direct APK installs. It does not mean LumosWS came from an unsafe source; it means Android cannot verify it through Play Store. Use only the APK from getlumos.app and never install files sent in chats.

Check Notification access, Spark notification settings, Do Not Disturb, battery saver, and background restrictions.
